The Holy Trinity

Tesla says over and over in the turbine patents how to get high power, torque and efficiency in his turbine:

1) Increase the speed of the fluid relative to the discs

2) Increase the surface area

3) Decrease the disc spacing

It’s my belief that if you do at least 2/3 you will get a practical turbine. But the holy grail is when you can get all 3 while keeping the motive fluid always laminar between all the discs.
